The Mary Dryden Elementary School project was a complete renovation of 36,000 sf with a 9,814 sf addition which consisted of new classrooms, a conference room and a new entrance. The occupied and phased renovations included life safety, code, egress, MEP system, IT/telecommunications, alarm, lighting and power upgrades. New food service renovations, extensive site work, roof and window replacement, asbestos abatement, masonry repair and restoration. Morganti collaborated with the city and designers to reach the desired budget, schedule and local/minority contractor participation requirements. This building has been designed and constructed to meet Massachusetts’s CHPS School designation.
