Reporting to the Chief Estimator, this position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of project estimates, from conceptual design through construction documents, in all divisions, especially mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Skills: Minimum 10 years experience on large, complex commercial projects (K-12 schools, colleges/universities, healthcare, courthouses, etc.) with a BS or MS Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical or construction management) or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Estimating Programs. General knowledge of all aspects of construction (field experience a plus). Understanding of Master Format and Uniformat. Familiar with contract types (Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Time & Material, and Unit Price, etc.). Demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines. Some travel to project sites to field verify installations and provide quality control will be required on an as needed basis. Experience in the New York market a plus.
Project Managers report directly to the Regional Operations Manager, or Project Executive if appropriate.
Each Project Manager has total responsibility for achieving overall project success from preconstruction through close-out through planning, scheduling, managing, executing, billing, and controlling project. Accountable for creating client satisfaction through insuring that assigned projects are executed in accordance with contract documents and the high quality standards of the company. The Project Manager directs and administers the Safety Program on his assigned project(s).
Skills: Minimum 8 years experience on large, complex commercial or institutional projects (K-12 schools, colleges/universities, healthcare, courthouses, etc.) with a BS or MS Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience. A solid track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion where the focus on developing, maintaining and growing client relationships is essential. Prior experience in project planning and scheduling, managing people, and an in-depth working knowledge of construction is required. Must present a positive personal image, be able to work as a team member with strong leadership, administrative and communication skills, knowledgeable of OSHA requirements and strong in construction quality assurance. Must have the ability to manage and control budgets, change orders and requisitions. Must have a strong sense of urgency and a history of completing complex projects on time and within budget. Must be proficient in MS Office, Expedition and SureTrak software.

The Senior Project Manager directs and administers the Safety Program on his assigned project(s). The Senior Project Manager has essentially the same responsibilities as other Project Managers, but operates at a more senior level and typically on larger projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager on any particular project are a Superintendent, Engineer, and also if the project requires a Project Manager and Field Administrator.

Each Superintendent reports to the Project Manager on the project to which he is assigned and to the Operations Manager for long-term assignments.
Directs all construction activity at assigned project site in accordance with established budgets, schedules, plans and specifications, contract documents, procedures, and company standards to establish the confidence and respect of the Owner and A/E. Works with the Project Manager to achieve project success. Oversees and expedites the activities of subcontractors. Responsible for the active control of the Site Specific Safety Plan.
Skills: Must have a 4-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience in supervising commercial building projects (K-12 schools, colleges/universities, healthcare, courthouses, etc.) in the range of $20m to $40m and a minimum of 10 years supervisory experience. Have a working knowledge of computers and the use of the following software: MS office, Expedition and SureTrak is highly desirable. Must have a very strong working knowledge and be technically competent in construction means & methods, equipment, tools and work procedures required. Have advanced understanding of construction scheduling, coordination, cost control, safety, OSHA requirements (30 hour certification), quality assurance and the ability to control and supervise large groups is essential. Ability to read blueprints is mandatory. Must have the capacity and organization skills required for the coordination of large amounts of detail. Requires strong communication and people management skills including the ability to work as a team member with strong leadership capability. Must have a strong sense of urgency and have a history of completing complex projects on time and within budget.
